The City of Seattle is working to make sure that every person in our City gets counted in the 2020 Census. That’s why we’re working with our community partners to support outreach strategies to eliminate participation barriers, especially for historically under-counted populations, including: communities of color; immigrants and refugees; young children; Native communities; LGBTQ people; renters; students; and people experiencing homelessness.
Despite the fact that in 2010, Seattle had one of the higher Census completion rates in the country, 20 percent of Seattle residents did not fill out their Census form.
